Hurstpierpoint College Swimming Pool, Chalker’s Lane, Hurstpierpoint, West Sussex, BN6 9JS – On site parking.

Hurst College pool is 25m long, providing the next step in the children’s swimming journey. The pool is devided into four 25m lanes.There are female and male changing rooms and plenty of room to watch the children from poolside.

The pool has a shallow end of 1m in depth and a deep end of 3m. The temperature is kept around 29 degrees celsius. Four classes run at the same time with a starter lane for the children who have moved up from the Clayton Pool.  A maximum of 8 children in a lesson.

To join the starter lane your child needs to be confident swimming a minimum of 20m in a recognised front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke.  They also need basic treading water skills.  As the swimmers move up through the levels the lane swimming focuses on stamina and technique.  The lessons also often include various life-saving skills.

Hurst College is situated in the village of Hurstpierpoint and the access to the pool is off Chalkers lane.
